Our U15's have qualified for the
semi-final playoffs in their age group league. In order to do
so they were top of the Southern Division by some margin losing only
one of their 9 league games.

The match scheduled for Sunday 10th
July v's Harrogate "A", runners up in the premier division, got
underway with Harrogate winning the toss and electing to bat.
Spofforth worked hard to restrict an undeniably talented batting
line up to 166 for the loss of 7 wickets off 22 overs.
Sadly no sooner had Harrogate completed their innings than the skies
opened and despite a spirited effort and our determination to
complete the game, the match was abandoned as the wicket was not fit
to continue the game.
Fast forward to Saturday 17th July and the re-scheduled match and
re-jigged team to be re-played at Spofforth, ditto the weather, no
game played.
Due to summer holidays and non-availability on both sides this game
will now be played Sunday 4th September at Spofforth. If we
win and qualify for the final then the game will be played on the
same date in the afternoon at Harrogate CC.
Whatever the result we are justly proud of the performance of our
under 15's this year who've made significant improvements in all
areas of their game. Well done boys!!
